Graduation Milestone During Covid-19 & California Fires

I was excited when my friend asked me to capture her major milestone. I was excited not only to capture her photographs but to see her as well. She moved to the East Coast and I had not seen her in some time face to face. I was honored she asked me to capture such a special milestone. She received her Masters in Higher Education this year thru the University of San Francisco and I am so proud of her and all of her hard work! However, due to Covid-19 we only got to spend a short social distanced, masked time together taking her photographs. : ( Her photoshoot was in San Francisco at her campus...

So, sadly the first 300 plus :( California wildfires had started that same week our photoshoot was scheduled. She was on the West Coast only during this time and we took the chance of taking the photos amid a possible smoke filled and orange filtered sky from the fires...but to our surprise San Francisco had clear blue skies and crisp air!

The campus was gorgeous! We had our session at the Lone Mountain location. A beautiful staircase from the road lead up to the campus winding thru Lone Mountain.

I also got to meet her new puppy, which was a graduation gift. These two on these steps were the cutest!

We had to get some FUN cap toss moments in...

and there were FUNNY numerous takes with the cap toss in the air since the wind was craazzy that day!

and even FUNNIER champagne moments, when she unexpectedly got a champagne shower! LOL

The next couple of photos show the great views from the campus...in the background here is St. Ignatius Church.

I will end this blog with some great quotes...

An all time fav...

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” —Henry David Thoreau

...

“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.” —Leonardo da Vinci

...

“I encourage you to live with life. Be courageous, adventurous. Give us a tomorrow, more than we deserve.” —Maya Angelou

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to my beautiful friend on this great milestone!
